Honoring Volusia County's Hometown Hero


Local resident Tina Carlyle was honored as a Hometown Hero in Volusia County this June. She was recognized for her service to our community at the 15th Annual Juneteenth Hometown Heroes Banquet. The Juneteenth Festival Committee including Juneteenth President Linda McGhee and Daytona Beach Mayor Derrick Henry, honored the efforts of 19 Volusia County residents.  Thank you Tina for making our community a stronger and better place to live. 

Tina Carlyle is an Advanced Practice Nurse with greater than 20 years of clinical and 15
years of healthcare management experience. She is consistently recognized for
outstanding performance in her field and especially for her dynamic managerial styles.
Mrs. Carlyle offer a variety of abilities and gifts to the community including her ability to
motivate others, her genuine commitment to collaborate with others, a wealth of clinical
knowledge, and the determination to always function with the highest integrity. Her
Christian beliefs and background as well as her supportive family have helped to drive
her success. Mrs. Carlyle is married to Randy Carlyle Jr, she has a son, daughter in-law,
and 3 step step-children, and 4 grandchildren with twins on the way. She is a faithful
member of Hope Fellowship Church.
Mrs. Carlyle graduated from Bethune Cookman College (University) with a bachelor's
degree in Nursing and continued her career by pursuing a Master's in Nursing from the
University of Phoenix. She has been a nurse for over 24 years. Her experience includes
medical surgical, intensive care trauma nursing, leadership and management. She is the
founder of a healthcare networking group called SNAP's (Senior Network Advocate
As a Senior Executive, she has a successful and extensive track record when it comes to
sales, marketing, business development and strategic planning. Tina has the exceptional
ability to develop and maintain strategic alliances. To describe her at best, she is high
energy, revenue focused, hands on, collaborative, and has a high integrity. Her wonderful
supportive family and Christian belief and background helps to drive her success. She is
consistently recognized for outstanding performance, motivational abilities, and her
dynamic managerial abilities.
Mrs. Carlyle has been involved in her community for over 20 years. She enjoys spending
time with her family, motivational speaking and mentoring at risk teens. She also devotes
time to feeding and supporting the homeless. As a result of being raised by her
grandmother and having an older sister, she has a passion for seniors. Her lifelong goals
is to open more Assisted Living Facilities in the area. As she gives credit to God above,
her loving husband for the many blessings she is grateful!
